Cell phone users can now visit our traditional web-site and the system will recognize capable devices that support mobile xhtml and thus will forward visitors to the web-site for mobile users at http://mobile.AlohaRents.com.
The mobile web-site is fast loading and has been deemed compliant with most capable devices. The design allows the site to be viewed on very small screens and is scaled up as needed for those with larger screens. We have kept the information necessary to reserve a car as minimal as possible.
This project was launched after getting multiple requests for such a service. We then poured over data from the main web-site and confirmed that about 5 percent of current traffic was coming from portable web-enabled devices. That was more than enough encouragement to move forward with the project.
Our solution gives business travelers and those on vacation instant access to corporate discounts and benefits from Thrifty, Avis, Budget and Dollar rental car services in Hawaii. You may never need a laptop again with the breadth of services available for browser enabled PDAs and mobile phones as of early-2007.
